Long time, no talk.

Hey everyone, guess it has been quite a while since I have posted on here! Thanks for reminding me Amanda, and Lasi, cough cough! I wouldn't say that alot is going on, but usually when I start a post like that it turns into many paragraphs, so I'll try to condense. Ryan has been out of town since last Wednesday and he won't be back til Friday, it has been horrible! If he ever goes out of town it's usually only for a week, and not this long. So I've missed having a man around the house, but have become quite handy putting things together, mowing, etc. My dad brought his mower and weedeater, and while he weedeated, I mowed, and it definitely wore me out! I probably haven't mowed since I was a kid, but it was nice to have an automatic mower!

There's definitely some landscaping work to be done in the front and back, but everything started blooming a few weeks ago, and little did I realize that the previous owners, I'm assuming the wife had planted azaelas, hydrangea, daffodils, iris', and pansies, I just assumed the azaelas were green bushes, but they are cute white and pink, so it's nice to have all those flowers in the front to look at when I get home! The other major thing with the house that has been going on, is the plumbing. After having a second set of plumbers come out in less than 4 months, he discovered I needed a new part for my bathroom's toilet, which I still havent gotten yet, because my grandpa wants to see if he can fix it, but I'm getting extremely tired of using Ryan's bathroom! It has nothing to do with him, just the fact that his only has a walk-in shower, instead of a bathtub and the sink is one of those stand-alones. And I definitely need counterspace! And the other part of the plumbing is that after he scoped out our pipes, there is a droop in one of them which basically he told us to live with, because he said it would take thousands of dollars to jack up the floor, find the pipe that needs replacing, replace it, and relay concrete and new flooring, yikes! He said it's a livable condition but more than likely we will need our lines unclogged once or more a year. So in my opinion I told ryan we might only be here a year, and looking at the end of the year for a new house, who knows!

Other than that, I'm still trying to pick out paint colors, and fix things up. I get all these ideas in my head all the time, but they either require money or time, and I don't have alot of those! I'm either at work, or helping Ryan with his work, or playing with the dog, so at least since Ryan's been out of town, I've gotten some more things how I want them, and also installed some orginization things to help out. I am definitely looking forward to warmer weather! It looks like this summer, we will either be headed to Arizona or Michigan, so either of those will probably count as a summer vacation, which is fine with me, as long as there's sunshine I don't mind!

I don't think I can think of anything else to talk about, so I leave you with two pictures of Rusty, this dog always wants to play, so here he is with his little tennis balls, and I really should go because he needs attention!

Updates

Not too much to update on around here, I have been sick with bronchitis for what feels like the longest time, and just when I got got over my fever and hacking cough, I have an earache and cough today from I guess being outside the past two days raking leaves! Me and Ryan raked up so many leaves, it is not even funny! Definitely glad we finished that up, and we are looking forward to warmer weather to work out in the backyard and front yard, come on spring, hurry up and get here!

Anyways, my birthday was on Tuesday and because I was sick and ryan was working, we didn't really celebrate it until this weekend. My parents took us out to dinner at Cantina Laredo and we had alot of fun and a great dinner! Ryan's birthday is tomorrow, so since he is out of town for work, we will probably celebrate this weekend. I had originally planned for us to go to hot springs this weekend as a small trip, but that will have to wait until the finances are lined up a little better.

Other than that, this week I really have to tackle getting all the junk out of the spare room and put into a place! After that I need to finish painting some furniture, then tackle painting the rooms, and hopefully soon getting a kitchen table and either an island for the kitchen or some sort of hutch/china cabinet, I love dreaming of ways to make the home look better and can't wait until I have the money to do it! I should go now, the dog is getting sleepy and so am I!

Hi Everyone!

I hope this doesn't turn into Xanga, I used to update my Xanga almost every day and made some great friends on there, but then I got more into myspace, then facebook, so I lost touch with blogging, other than posts on myspace. So I plan to at least update this once a week or twice a week at the most since I'm already on facebook every waking hour of the day!

A few updates, After purchasing our first home in November, we've been living here since about December 1st, and I have been so incredibly lazy about unpacking, our spare bedroom is still chock full of boxes, the spare bed, the papasan, and kitchen things, which I hope to one day find a place for. A couple at church told us they had been living in their new home since August, and still had a bedroom full of things, which did not sound very encouraging, because I hate clutter! We had some plumbing pitfalls at first, and had to stay with my parents about a week in the beginning of December, which was nice to have everything done for us by my mom, but we really missed getting to enjoy our new home. The best part about that, our plumber is good friends with my dad and never billed us which was a tremendous blessing, because now hopefully we can get some new windows, but I'll save house woes for another blog.

Other than that, Ryan lost his job the week before Christmas, we've been pretty stressed about it, and have been barely scraping by, but he hopes to get unemployment within the next week and actually may have just found a job for now in order to pay our bills until he finds what he is really looking for, as for me, I should find a new job soon that pays more, I've just been lazy about that as well.

Nevertheless with all the issues that we have had lately, along with sicknesseses too, I think things are going to look up soon, we got a dog "Rusty", formerly known as "Rockstar" right around Christmas, thanks to Ryans brother who needed to find a home for his dog, he's an adorable black/white shihtzu, and we absolutely love him to death. It makes me think that I probably want kids soon, but I love having someone to take care of! He's always full of energy and happy and has definitely lifted our spirits.

I must go now, I have definitely neglected laundry today because I've been looking at paint colors online, thinking about all the things I want to do to the house, once some money comes around, one of these days I will post pictures of the house, and especially Rusty! Later everyone.
